Redmond, WA – The City of Redmond launched a new online community involvement tool today, called Let’s Connect Redmond, where the public can learn about, and provide input on, a number of upcoming plans, programs and projects. Through Let’s Connect, visitors are encouraged to provide feedback, ask questions, and post comments that will help inform decisions made by the City.
“The City of Redmond is committed to problem-solving and data based decision-making that is informed by our residents, employees and businesses of Redmond,” said Mayor John Marchione. “By taking our traditional open house format and putting it online, we hope that Let’s Connect will offer more people the opportunity to be heard and to influence City decision-making, at a place and time that works for their schedule.”
The current topics on LetsConnectRedmond.com include:
- Community Strategic Plan: The Redmond City Council has created a draft Community Strategic Plan and is asking the community to review the draft plan and provide feedback on the priorities identified.
- Police and Fire Services: Participating in a questionnaire about Police and Fire services will provide data and information needed for the creation of Redmond’s next Public Safety Functional Plan.
Beginning on Friday, July 12:
- Attendees to Derby Days are invited to visit LetsConnectRedmond.com to complete the festival questionnaire and submit their favorite photo and memory from the event via the photo contest.
The Let’s Connect program is a result of community focus groups and feedback collected in 2018, where participants expressed interest in more opportunities to provide timely feedback on decision-making that affected their community.
