LWSD Bond Projects Update

Juanita High School 
exterior work, 
"Welcome back" sign and masonry work.
  • Juanita High School students returned to campus for their first day of school on September 4. Students will attend classes in what remains of their old building, as well as in 15 double-classroom portables. The first phase of the new school building will open in one year.
  • Roof installation is complete.
  • Masonry at the theater is complete.
  • Exterior work – including brick veneer and window installation – has begun.
  • Sheetrock installation has begun.
  • A regional operating engineers union strike has been resolved.


Margaret Mead Elementary School
Concrete and utility work 
at Mead Elementary
  • Concrete floors started.
  • Structural brace frame concrete footings are complete.
  • Borings for geothermal wells started.
  • Utility work is in progress.
  • A regional operating engineers union strike has been resolved. 
 

Peter Kirk Elementary School
  • Concrete floors started.
  • Borings for geothermal wells are complete.
  • Utility work is in progress.
  • A regional operating engineers union strike has been resolved. 
 

Old Redmond Schoolhouse

  • Old 
Redmond Schoolhouse exteriorBids for the project have been advertised.
  • A pre-bid contractor site walk was held.
  • Construction is expected to begin this fall.
