What is wrong with this picture?
ReplyDeleteHomeless people are still living in freezing tents because they can't find an affordable apartment or room to rent in Redmond or anywhere.
The Tent City happens so frequently that the city now recycles the sign with new information taped on. Meanwhile, the downtown is being torn up and replaced with apartments and condos with MONTHLY rents that exceed the encampment's $2,684 permit fee.
This is all brought to us by the appropriately named "Department of Planning and Community Development."
