Mayor Marchione extends Derby Days with fireworks Friday, July 15.

The grand finale fireworks show set for Derby Days will now be held on Friday July 15 at 10pm on the City Hall campus lawn.

"Think of it as an extended Derby Days" said Mayor Marchione at Tuesday's Council Meeting.

In addition to the fireworks, two bands are scheduled to perform. Beginning at 7pm is LeRoy Bell, one of Seattle’s top performers of blues and soul. At 9pm, Doctor Funk will perform some great funky music until the fireworks display begins at 10pm.  Read More >>

“I would like to thank all those residents who graciously took the disappointing news about the fireworks on Saturday and invite them to this week’s Arts in the Parks performance,” stated Lisa Rhodes, Event and Marketing Administrator. “This fireworks show will be one worth waiting for and the free music will get us all in the right mood.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic and a low-backed chair or blanket and stretch out to enjoy the show.

LeRoy Bell is part of the Redmond Arts Commission summer concert series Arts in the Parks. Every Friday from now through August 19, these concerts and theater every Friday evening are a great way to celebrate the summer with family, friends and neighbors.

Arts in the Parks is sponsored by the City of Redmond and Redmond Arts Commission with funding support from 4Culture Sustained Support Program and the Redmond Tourism Fund. Additional schedule information and directions are at www.redmond.gov/arts . Facilities are handicap accessible.
