*Summer day care for teenagers with disabilities*
Educational therapy- the effective comprehensive approach to independent learning

Northwest Center is preparing to launch our new full-day summer program for teenagers with disabilities on June 27. Serving youth ages 13-21, our center will be open from 7 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday throughout the summer.

Northwest Center Teens is designed to meet the need of working parents of teens with developmental conditions that require social, emotional and physical supports throughout the day. Our staff will provide a safe and engaging facility along with plenty of opportunities to get out into the community to practice independent living and social skills. We are collaborating with community partners such as the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Seattle Parks and others to facilitate a variety of inclusive summer adventures and activities for participants.

The program will offer monthly, weekly, full-time and part-time tuition rates. No one will be turned away based on finances. Scholarships are available to cover any portion of tuition that will best serve each family's needs and allow participants to pay what they can.

We are close to finalizing a deal for space near downtown Seattle and enrollment will begin very soon. For more information, or to receive an application packet, please contact Bryan Baker bbaker  or 206/378-6352.@nwcenter.org

Sincerely,
Bryan Baker
Program Director

*The Children's Museum, Seattle*
Opens doors early to provide an opportunity for families with children with autism to enjoy all the Museum has to offer.

The Museum will open at 8:30am on the first Saturday of each month at a reduced rate of $3.00 per person. Tickets may be pre-purchased to avoid lines at the box office. Tickets will also be on sale that morning until 9:30am.

The box office will be closed from 9:30am - 10:00am while we transition to open for the general public. We will not be able to admit any new visitors between 9:30am and 10:00am.

To make your visit easier, the Museum provides detailed maps highlighting areas of the Museum that have potential to be louder and will also provide safe quiet areas. During the early open time (8:30am - 10:00am) the Museum does not run our normal music or sounds and will not use the PA system. Normal sounds resume at 10:00am when we open to the public.

Choice Boards will be available highlighting areas such as:
walking up the Mountain Path. reading in our Story Telling circle.

Sitting in a quiet space.
