  1. Chair Snyder, Secretary Cashman and Board of Commissioners, thank you for this award!! It's an honor of my lifetime!

Commissioners, as you know, mental health treatment (and governance) has always been at the core of my community work in EvergreenHealth Your decisions to open the 2 outpatient behavioral health clinics, provide telehealth services to your emergency departments and hire a Director of Behavioral Health are exemplary. I'm blessed to have played a small part in the initiation of these services.

Your action to include behavioral health treatment as a pillar in the Levy Lid Lift measure surely contributed to our impressive Prop.1 win!! Cheers!

CEO Palazzo, thank you for working with the Board in the selection of this award! You are the best, community-minded CEO I have ever known. I have deep admiration and respect for the enormous effort you put into the Prop. 1 campaign while running the hospital. Your value to Evergreen and the NW healthcare system is immeasurable.

Please give my wife Pam a warm hello...she's my forever friend, lover and caregiver. In many ways I'm here today because of her.

    Thank you, Chair Snyder.
