Herfy's is the cornerstone of the mall. |
Herfy's has the broadest selection of hamburgers at the lowest price. Great shakes too. Click to enlarge. Find the "mask required sign." Delta Covid variant is running wild. |
A warehouse will be built on this site, south of Sunrise. The popular Brown Bag restaurant was here. Click (double) to see a mall sign and Animal Emergency sign. |

What are all the anticipated Redmond residents going to do here once all the eateries and shops are gone?
ReplyDeleteThe mixed use model of a street level for retail (incl. eateries) and 5 stories above for apartments seems the standard design. The old stuff is just being torn out to make room for the new. My bigger concern is traffic. Just imagine.
ReplyDeleteBut will many of the old businesses survive the switch to new accommodations? I doubt it. And the few designs I've checked seem to have very little in the way of retail space suitable for small businesses.
ReplyDeleteMost if my memories of growing up here are gone. Go ahead, take another one. My friend worked here when we were young. I barely recognize this town! What's next? Rip out Ben F ing Franklin and the old QFC!
ReplyDelete`janis joplin sang a sad song, 'take another piece 0f my heart" RIP Herfy Burger
