Redmond Neighborhoods (9) |
Education Hill and North Redmond Network Neighborhood meetings were held earlier this month. Per 2010 US Census, the Education Hill neighborhood population is ~12,000 residents; the North Redmond neighborhood population is ~ 4,000 residents. This census information and the following letter from Kim Dietz was generously provided by the Marchione Administration upon request. B.Y.

The April 7th Neighborhood Network meeting went quite well. Approximately 30 neighbors from the Education Hill and North Redmond neighborhoods attended. Councilmember Cole was also in attendance. Read more of Kim's Letter >>
Green Redmond and Senior Services joined the joint neighborhood meeting to inform residents of their programs. We were also fortunate to have a board member of Redmond Historical Society at the Registration table for a while.
Afterwords, we broke into two Education Hill groups and one North Redmond group to consider small projects and goals for 2011-2012. Many community members continue to share their interest in walkability. For example, several people suggested the addition of benches at locations throughout both neighborhoods. The Education Hill questionnaire and the North Redmond questionnaire remains open through April 30th. I'll post a summary of the results in the near future on the city website.
