It’s no April Fool’s joke: We plan to close all lanes of I-405 in Bellevue in both directions the weekend of April 1 - 4 to remove the old NE 12th Street Bridge. The closure, between NE Eighth Street and SR 520, will start at 11 p.m. on Friday, April 1 until 4 a.m. Monday, April 4.
Nearly 450,000 vehicles travel through Bellevue on I-405 on a typical weekend so be sure to plan ahead. The bottom line: take alternate routes, avoid the area unless you plan to go to Bellevue, and plan for delays – even if you’re using I-5.
Removing the old bridge will allow crews to finish building a new, longer, wider bridge over I-405 at NE 12th Street.

Since the launch of the new Good To Go! customer service center on Feb. 15, thousands of customers have signed up for Good To Go! in preparation for tolling on SR 520. We’ve sold nearly 20,000 passes and established 18,000 new accounts while fielding 22,000 calls.
The high volume of calls and website traffic has prompted new customer service vendor Electronic Transaction Consultants (ETCC) to make upgrades to improve the customer experience including hiring additional staff, installing more phone lines, and enhancing the website.
During this transition new customers are encouraged to wait until next week to sign up for Good To Go! accounts. 3/3
