Salmon have returned to Bear Creek and its tributaries. Today (Monday 9/25) there were 3 bright red sockeye in Bear Creek at Juel Park off of NE 116th Street.
Cottage Lake Creek is getting a run of big Chinook. Take Avondale Road north and turn left on NE 159th Street. Park at the bridge over Cottage Lake Creek and look for fish and listen for splashing!
Water Tenders will be hosting "Meet the Salmon" at Bear Creek at the Tolt Pipeline crossing off of Mink Road on the next two Wednesdays 3-6 PM and Saturday and Sunday 1-4 PM (9/27-10/8.) There will be displays and salmon viewing glasses for kids. Use this map: https://goo.gl/maps/7yhACojuCRS2.
