To me, the Saturday Market has always been quite expensive since I first visited it about 10 yrs ago. I like the idea of purchasing "farm fresh" fruits and veggies direct from the vendor, I love the ambience of the market in our town, and sometimes you can find some nice things there. But I rarely go anymore (I think I didn't stop there at all last year). If I have to get in my car anyhow, I'll go to PCC, Whole Foods, Fred Meyer or Trader Joe's. Or, for some items such as strawberries and blueberries, our family goes direct to a u-pick farm.
Just went there today. Picked up a nice banquet of flowers for $10. Everything else seems really expensive.
