Evergreen Healthcare scheduled to occupy a new building in Redmond's Bella Bottega

Update, 12/12:  Evergreen Healthcare is on schedule to complete a new three-story medical office building  by summer 2011.  The project site is near RED-WOOD Road and Northeast 90th Street in Bella Bottega shopping center.  The building will include Evergreen's family practice, urgent care and radiology clinics. Construction is planned for this spring where Gray Barn Nursery used to be at the Bella Bottega shopping center, which includes Regal Cinemas, QFC and Bartell Drugs.

    Dear Sherry -
The Redmond Reporter and Seattle Times announcement is misleading. Land use projects in Redmond are not considered a "done deal" until the "comments due date", found on the paper notice and the city electronic notice. In this case, the "comments due date" is 12/16/09. The press release I got from Nyhus Communications appears in compliance.
In this case, 12/16/09 is the cut off date for "party of record" registration since there is no Hearing. The Public registers for Party of Record status by making comment to the city. Once a Party of Record, they have an opportunity (or privilege) to appeal the project, if they so choose. Technically, this project is not a "done deal" and Evergreen will not be assured occupancy until the comment process is completed on 12/16. (The city may be able to amend this for you with a publication in a newspaper).
You may wish to contact the city to confirm this. It's good to know this stuff for any future Redmond land use projects.. Gary Lee is the city planner. glee@redmond.gov
As for the "announcement" on my blog I have corrected the BELL-RED location error, removed the TIMES link, and edited my announcement from "will occupy" to "is scheduled for". I personally don't have any legal objections to your project and wish you well.

  2. This 3-story building will have underground parking for, I think, 36 vehicles. All the stores in the complex are situated on a Wellhead Protection Zone.
