 - an informal, drop-in gathering with City Councilmembers and Lake Washington School District Board Members to discuss topics of importance to attendees

  1. I attended and had very table talks with council members Shana Pitris (sp) and Vivik. Safey was the key issue for both. Vivik said the City's need for police can get funding from a law that just passed in Olympia, despite our fragile state budget. No levies or bond needed. Ms. Pitris noted domestic violence was the most common crime in Redmond. I got her in touch with Monica Greathouse, COO Trauma at EvergreenHealth. Monica is on the Board of Lifewire, a nonprofit supporting the abused.

  2. I want to than CM Parsi for notifying me about "Conversations" with Council. There was very little promotion, as far as I could tell.
