The bus ride to Seattle is ok, the real problem is shortage of park and ride spots in downtown Redmond and the overlake area, this precludes usage of the bus unless your schedule perfectly aligns or you live in the urban core of downtown. As residents of Redmond, a better investment for us is more P&R capacity coupled with BRT. I don't know what ST-3 does for other regions, but in a way it's a zero sum game, so we have to vote our personal interest.Yossihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16667669066473183434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-485581331425169493.post-85112463079010957912016-10-06T21:06:42.312-07:002016-10-06T21:06:42.312-07:00It takes 30 minutes to get from the top of the hil...It takes 30 minutes to get from the top of the hill to the bottom using 166th Avenue every morning or I can get in the slow crawl on Avondale. City of Redmond officials seems to think that this is acceptable and have no plans to improve the unbearable wagon train of cars that we're forced to sit in if we want to get to work or get home. There is no bus service (the Metro 221 is so unreliable that it can't be used.) Traffic in this city is a nightmare and will only get worse. It's ruining our quality of life.

We're supposed to vote for ST3 so we'll get a train and 4 miles of track up to Overlake. We'll be paying off $54,000,000,000 in bonds for the next 30 years to get almost no traffic relief. This is so amazingly expensive. Exactly WHO really benefits from this plan?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-485581331425169493.post-54592321357126715412016-10-06T09:48:29.999-07:002016-10-06T09:48:29.999-07:00I disagree with Anonymous. Redmond benefits as part of that region just as we suffer from the traffic congestion that currently exists through the region. I was glad to have access to several viewpoints and all the information presented in a clear manner here on the blog. I've decided to vote for ST-3.Emily Kay Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06195290210616831247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-485581331425169493.post-25711559167768913332016-10-05T22:33:34.328-07:002016-10-05T22:33:34.328-07:00Seriously, for $54 Billion all Redmond will get is...Seriously, for $54 Billion all Redmond will get is a train that runs from Overlake down to the Redmond Pancake House - and then the train will change direction and run along the old railroad lines past Town Center and its final stop will be near KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken).

Redmond will also get a park-and-ride lot for 1,400 cars near the Pancake House. (The Bear Creek Park-and-Ride has 300 spaces and is full by 8 AM.)

This is all we'll get for the next 30 YEARS. It's stupid. We'll pay $54 BILLION and get almost nothing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
